Funston's a real one. Keeping it spicy.

Woah...did he really say this? "If Strohmeyer doesn't win either jersey [Pan Ams or Nationals], will we really remember at the end of the year? You know, his dominance, it'll be maybe just a footnote. So just a lot of big racing to come." I don't know how you can win 7 out of 8 races in the one pro CX series in this country and have your competitors be like, "well, if he doesn't win nats, who cares?"

Daaaamn Funston with the facts. Dude is a competitor 100%. Kinda right too; the vibe check to me felt like there was more hype around Brunner debuting at Charm than Stroh taking his 5th win. Consistency is cool, Championships are cooler.

I think I'd like there to be hype around Brunner but his lack of interest in the USCX really bums me out. I'm sure he is just looking towards Nats and that is the most important thing in the season but my perception is he doesn't really care much about cross. He just shows up because he's good enough.

It seems like we need more of Katie Clouse's story. She is, by far, the dominant U.S. racer in every race this year, but we haven't heard anything about her. Maybe she declines the spotlight? Is she going to be the top U.S. racer in every single race this year?

I completely agree. The problem we have at race weekends is there is just enough time to talk to the top three and she has been right off the podium. I have a feeling we will be getting a lot more KC content going forward.
