Hi Ethan - amazing images as usual - got to take issue with the notion of Brand being boring. She was on the edge of her ability the entire race and her lead was due to her being willing to take risk / reward choices and lean on her massively improved technical skills. Best example her being the only rider able to negotiate the left hand line which took out Worst and SVA. Honsinger seems a bit off - course looked ideal for her and Clouse was phenomenal. Also hope you mention TV coverage which was exceptional in showing more than just Brand off the front.
John, Thanks very much! It wasn't my intention to suggest that Brand is boring as rider. I was trying to describe the dynamic of the race, which I thought could have been boring had Maghalie not been picking off riders on her way to the podium. I should have made that clearer. I'm very glad to hear the broadcast showed that action, since they certainly don't always do that.
Not sure what, if anything, is up with Honsinger. I agree the course mostly suited her in those conditions, though she might have benefitted from heavier, less slick mud.
