SO GOOD! I'm just giddy for Puck. Just as we've come to refer to certain race antics by MVDP as "VanDerPolean", we need a superlative for Puck's performances. Pucktastic? MegaPuck? Let's get after it, CX fans!

Puck is a very smart cookie. She was the only rider I saw wearing an ice vest at the start and dousing herself with a bidon of ice water every lap. Given her colouring the heat should have killed her- but even that played into her game plan. Also interesting to link to comments on CX Radio where point was made that cross over riders ( CX Road MTB) like Puck work/ train a lot harder than ‘just’ MTB riders. The Fenix MVDP approach may not work for Ceylin but for Puck and Sam Gaze it seems to work OK.

I felt like I also saw Gwinnie the Pooh with an ice contraption of some sort? Also, hope you enjoyed the jokes; tried to have a bit more fun this week.

I also wondered how a pale ginger who primarily races a winter sport would react with the temperature. Puck’s ability to not only withstand the heat but to win going away was the big takeaway and should scare the daylights out of the rest of the field. On a related note odd to me the broadcast team sees a CX star dominate the season so far yet they barely mention her arch nemesis and current world champ FVA (nor the Cervelo mountain bike given their man crush on the other “road brand” Pinarello).

Also would have been nice if they covered anyone beyond top ten in race, or not on podium at the end. Jolanda Neff and Kate Courtney surging into the top 10 at finish was worth covering no?

Lulz. I was ready to give Bart credit for even knowing the Superprestige exists.
