Great explanation Bill and agree the USAC criteria are pretty level headed. The complexity is on the IOC’s end with so few spots which doesn’t make any sense when comparing to other sports.
I’m perplexed as to why the U23 racers get qualifying points. The Olympics is about the best of the best. Why would U23 racers count? Not that they can’t be talented but if you were that good wouldn’t you move up to Elite like Mona?
