Excellent piece - great to see Clara moving on ..a bit of a role reversal given how many current racers have done their learning and then pivoted to the racing life. She is such an individual.
Thanks for this report as I had been wondering like everyone else what happened to her. She has taken one of the quietest retirements I can remember in sports, especially for someone with the national title on her shoulders. I loved watching her race, she had the huge but slow to start diesel motor, and the fearless descending skills, and would claw her way to the front of the race as it wore on. Highlight for me was her win in the mud at the Koppenberg Cross, we all cheered so hard and couldn’t wait to share the news. Good luck with this next phase in life Clara and thanks for the memories.

Good to hear what she is up to. Thanks for sharing this story!
Should be interesting to see who steps up to fill the void.
I will miss her this year. Would have liked to see her battle Katie Clouse.
Great update. Great read.
Excellent all around
Thanks, John. I will make that change.
