Good to see so many Americans going over the pond for worlds 🌈
OhhhKaaay then. First - good to see so many riders being given a chance to ride.. looks like the ‘having medal potential’ part of selection has been sent packing as that can only really apply to Clara and if she’s still trending upwards Katy Clouse. Maybe the junior boys and Lizzy Gunsalas might do well. But... if every country sent riders who had medal potential there would be a field of six in each race. Second. The US is in a similar position to most countries..we go to Europe and get a kicking. Our domestic scene and rider development is way behind Holland and Belgium. It could be Cat Ferguson and Imogen Wolfe medal and they are at the front of a really thriving domestic scene but we’ll lose a lot of those riders to careers/ University or the road and as our Nationals showed - there is literally no elite male or female in the same league as Anna Kay or Cam Mason..TP excepted.. so it is what it is.
