Well, that was probably the wildest edition of Namur that I have experienced. There was just something about the pure chaos of the racing that stood out, even from my limited perspective at the side of the course. I've been to a few editions that had worse weather. Colder, windier, rainier for sure. But somehow, the course this year seemed treacherous beyond expectations. And as much trouble as some riders had at the front, the effect was amplified at the back of the large fields, leading to some hair-raising moments. At one point, I noticed that the crowd on the off-camber down to the cobbles was letting out a large roar for pretty much anybody who could get down it without crashing.
Great race, great photos! ❤️
