As I have mentioned on The Bulletin, before, I live in the Washington DC neighborhood of Brookland. One of the things about Brookland (and this phenomenon happens in many city neighborhoods) is that people argue about what are the actual boundaries of Brookland proper. For years I’ve endured conversations among friends that go something like this:
“They don’t live in Brookland, that’s actually Petworth.”
“Over there? That’s Edgewood not Brookland.”
It’s a pretty silly debate that overtakes neighborhood listservs and really serves no purpose. It’s similar in many ways to the debate over when Kerstperiode begins and ends. Is Namur part of Kerstperiode? Does it matter? I don’t know. But the debate rages on. Because if it can be argued, we will argue it. God bless America.
And that brings us to the latest episode of Cyclocross Radio and the Sub-Kerstperioede(?). In the Media Pit we are talking about Namur and Essen and getting prepared for the rush of races that will follow. We break down the races, unleash some hot takes, and then defend our editorial characterizations of certain riders.
