It’s been a month since the Cyclocross World Championships, and it's time to start finding focus for next season. We’re not talking tack-sharp, clinical modern lens focus here, but more of a classic analog look with a bit of softness for character. Cyclocross for now is a hazy silhouette on the horizon.
But before we get there, I wanted to post a couple of conversations we had on Cyclocross Radio that captured what happened this season and explored where cyclocross is going.
After the U.S. Cyclocross National Championships, I talked to Adam Myerson about a wide range of topics. As mentioned in the episode, we used the time to catch up and discuss what we would typically chat about in a parking lot at a race but never found the time. It’s a good conversation about where the sport is today, Adam’s decision to bring back Cycle-Smart Northampton as a UCI event, and what, if anything, needs to be changed with the national championships.
Following the Cyclocross World Championships, Boedi and I caught up with the recently retired Curtis White to celebrate his career. It was not exclusively a retrospective with Curtis. He provided great insight into his experience as a professional bike racer and the path forward for aspiring young racers.

Curtis is a fantastic spokesperson for the sport. One I hope continues to participate at a high-level in the U.S. cyclocross community.
2025-2026 North American UCI Calendar
In case you missed it, the UCI posted the 2025-2026 cyclocross calendar. The World Cup dates seem to be set, however, nothing is ever 100 percent guaranteed when it comes to the UCI cyclocross calendar. Here are those dates:
Sunday, November 23: Tabor (juniors and Men’s U23)
Sunday, November 30: Flamanville (juniors and Men’s U23)
Sunday, December 7: Cabras, Sardinia
Sunday, December 14: Namur
Saturday, December 20: Antwerpen
Sunday, December 21: Koksijde (juniors and Men’s U23)
Friday, December 26: Gavere
Sunday, December 28: Dendermonde (juniors and Men’s U23)
Sunday, January 4: Zonhoven
Sunday, January 18: Benidorm (juniors and Men’s U23)
Saturday, January 24: Maasmechelen
Sunday, January 25: Hoogerheide (juniors and Men’s U23)
As we discuss in the podcasts posted above, not every World Cup event has junior races. These events are critical for juniors who want to make the U.S. Worlds team so those six dates determine travel plans for many younger riders.
As far as the domestic scene goes, I will give my normal disclaimer that you should never rely on UCI calendars before the season starts. You will notice some races rumored to be on the calendar are missing, and new races have popped up. There is no guarantee this calendar will not expand or contract by the time we start racing. You will also notice that for the first time in many years, we have UCI events on the same weekend in the U.S.
That’s all for now. We will be back with more chats on the podcast and our annual awards show. For me, after a few blissful weeks on the couch it’s time to get back to the racing. The Crosshairs Cycling crew in DC hosted the Garage Racing National Championships in National Landing a week ago. Next up is Valley of Tears Gravel in Turkey, Texas followed by the US Cup MTB stop in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Talk more soon.
Missing cx season already of course. End of Sanne Cant's era; beginning of Vida's. Thanks as always for extending a hand-up to your cx friends. Bring on MTB season! ❤️
