Batten, Blunk, Blevins and Amos Get Olympics MTB Nod
Paris MTB races will take place July 28 and 29
There were no surprises in today’s announcement by USA Cycling CEO and president Brendan Quirk on who would represent the U.S. in the mountain bike event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. As we’ve been following throughout the Spring and Summer, Team USA secured four spots in the MTB race by ranking in the top eight nations for men and women.
We now have confirmation that Haley Batten (Specialized Factory Racing) and Savilia Blunk (Decathlon Ford Racing Team) will represent the women, and Christopher Blevins (Specialized Factory Racing) and Riley Amos (Trek Factory Racing-Pirelli) will represent the men.
The women will race July 28 at 14:10 Paris Time. The men will race July 29 at 14:10. We will post complete starting lists when they are available.
I can't wait to see them race the Olympics! USA women have been kickin' butt for quite a while, and huge congrats to the men for the two-rider quali. ❤️🇺🇲
