Amos and Böhm Win U23 Short Track In Mairiporã World Cup
Results and Race Analysis from Today's Non-Televised Action
Riley Amos (Trek Factory Racing-Pirelli) and Kira Böhm (Cube Factory Racing) earn the first victories in the 2024 Whoop UCI Mountain Bike World Series, taking the wins in the Men’s and Women’s U23 XCC Short Track World Cup events in Mairiporã.
Looking at the race analysis below, Böhm took the lead in the third lap and stretched it out to win by an impressive 17 seconds. Madigan Munro (Trek Factory Racing-Pirelli) and Sofia Waite (BH Coloma Team) sprinted it out, and Munro took second. On that final circuit, Munro clocked the fast lap in the women’s field.
In the men’s race, Riley Amos (Trek Factory Racing-Pirelli), Dario Lillo (Giant Factory Off-Road Team), and Oleksander Hudyma (KMC Ridley MTB Racing Team) controlled the front of the race. Hudyma dropped off with two to go. Amos surged in the final lap to win by two seconds. Lillo out-sprinted Sondre Rokke for third with Bjorn Riley (Trek Future Racing) coming in fourth.
